Councilmember John Erickson has been named Legislative Committee Vice Chair of the California Contract Cities Association.
The organization is comprised of cities in California that contract for municipal services with another unit of government or with a private or commercial organization — for instance, the Sheriff’s Department, which is contracted by West Hollywood and 41 other cities in the county to provide law enforcement. Recently, Contract Cities has expanded its footprint into politics, advocating against issues such as tribal sports betting.
Erickson was elected to the City Council in 2020. Before joining the City Council, he worked in City Hall and served as the Vice-Chair of West Hollywood’s Planning Commission.
“John has focused on sensible health practices, affordable housing, reducing traffic through alternative transportation and more,” the organization stated in a press release.
Erickson’s purview will be to “promote fair legislation that affects all member cities.”
Lauren Meister should have been voted in to join the California Contract Cities Association. See her resume to confirm my opinion. WeHo residents can thank Lindsey Horvath and Sepi Shyne for Erickson finding his way on CCCA because they split the vote that paved the way for Erickson to get on this committee in the first place! Remember this when casting your vote for Sepi in the next election. Remember this when Lindsey returns to WeHo politics after losing the upcoming L.A. County Supervisor race. Remember this when we all work together to NOT RE-ELECT John Erickson.
More embarrassment in store for Weho in the form of this individual performing in front of CCCA. Aside from his general appearance with focus his nail color, hair color and questionable attire, despite overemphasis on his academic degree, his juvenile actions are horrifying.

An abject failure as a Planning Commissioner and now a dangerous unethical Councilmember. What could be worse than to have this treacherous individual locally and to gain traction with the CCCA. A recognizable fraud.
What a shame. Erickson is a dangerous buffoon with ridiculous ideas and no ethics.
When is his term up? I want to circle it in red on my calendar.
