The Tail O’ The Pup began its newest chapter with a bang. The vintage hot dog stand, painstakingly restored to its retro glory by owner Bobby Green, drew a crowd that snaked down Santa Monica Blvd. Mayor Lauren Meister and other community leaders were on hand Wednesday to welcome the return of The Pup, a favorite of Hollywood residents and the film industry in the late ‘1970s and ’80s. The restaurant is now open at 8512 Santa Monica Blvd.

Glad to have it back. Along with Irv’s. Now I just need to decide whether to buy a hot dog or a gallon of gas with my $7.

So good to see something that will hopefully be a long term success in that location. I know both the stand and the building behind it have very distinct WeHo histories.

I am glad this is back- kudos to them, Alison Martino, Valley Relics Museum and the many others who worked so long to make this happen. I’m sure Eddie and Dennis are smiling..

I’d rather have this place in the neighborhood instead of Starbucks/Subway.

An ACTUAL small business and unique to West Hollywood!

Exactly; it just proves there are plenty of non-corporate business people who still have faith in West Hollywood and our community.
