The Los Angeles County Registrar of Voters is charged with overseeing voter records in Los Angeles County, including the City of West Hollywood. The City agrees that West Hollywood voters should be registered in West Hollywood and will work collaboratively with the County to address any discrepancies. If a member of the public thinks they aren’t registered in the correct city, then they should check their voter registration status by clicking https://www.lavote.gov/vrstatus/ .
If they are registered in the incorrect City, they should re-register by clicking https://registertovote.ca.gov/.
If a voter has recently moved, changed their name, or it has been a while since they registered to vote then they should re-register. The County uses a voter’s signature on their voter registration form to confirm their identity on their vote by mail ballot. Over the years our signature may change so it’s a good idea if it’s been a while since a person registered to vote. Residents may always reach out to the City Clerk’s Office if they have any questions, and we will assist them.

My voting materials are always addressed to “Los Angeles, CA 90069” but I do receive the correct materials for West Hollywood, and not Los Angeles.
