BlockParty WeHo located at 8853 Santa Monica Blvd. will open its doors for three more days of FREE monkeypox and updated COVID vaccinations from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6, Friday, Oct. 7 and Saturday, Oct. 8. The times are 11am-2pm, and 5pm-8pm. The Saturday clinic is only open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The BlockParty vaccination clinic began with the purpose to vaccinate frontline West Hollywood employees in the Rainbow District who did not yet have access to the monkeypox and updated COVID-19 variant shot. Larry Block, publisher of WEHOville and owner of BlockParty, worked out an arrangement with Elements Pharmacy to administer the shots inside the West Hollywood shop.
The first clinic was held on September 8th, 9th and 10th and was very successful. Britney Cooper of the Elements Pharmacy reported 168 patients were vaccinated at the BlockParty shop over the three-day period in September. The new dates will allow all those who had shots one month ago to get their second vaccination in a timely manner.
At the time of the first event, BlockParty was the only independent business to provide vaccinations free of charge to residents and front-line West Hollywood workers.
Patients who got a vaccination received gift bags that included a bottle of water, rainbow flag, starburst, and z-pizza offered a free fountain drink for anyone who bought a slice.
