The City of West Hollywood is getting out the word that the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department West Hollywood Station is presenting a series of free evening “Community Academy” workshops on Wednesday evenings from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. from October 12, 2022 through November 16, 2022. The Community Academy will take place at the West Hollywood Park Aquatic and Recreation Center located at 8750 El Tovar Place, next to the West Hollywood Library. Space is limited; registration is required by calling (310) 855-8850 or emailing e2teixei@lasd.org.
Community members will learn about a range of topics including patrol operations, K-9 units, SWAT, crime scene investigations, mental health evaluations, and more.
The City of West Hollywood Community Safety Department/Public Safety Division provides oversight of law enforcement and coordinates community programs to reduce crime and increase public safety and the quality of life for citizens, businesses, and visitors to West Hollywood.
