City staff will present Mayor Pro Tem Sepi Shyne with the list she requested of new businesses that have opened in the past two years at tonight’s City Council meeting. In total, the list consists of over 100 businesses, including restaurants, retail businesses, fitness/gym uses, art galleries, hotels, and cannabis businesses, all of which are located in commercial districts. That number includes,46 restaurants, bars and cafes, four art galleries and eight cannabis businesses.
The list is not even accurate, I opened my Spa in Weho on 9/2021 and it’s not even listed in there and I’m right there in Weho right next to Gym bar

Today SS is speaking out on ABC “assuring” residents and shoppers that they are safe in West Hollywood because of the LASD & Block by Blockers. Really? Get ahead of the ongoing crime with a foil like this😰 ok, continue the bubble🙄

What kind of list is this, over 25% of the businesses haven’t even opened yet! Will all the businesses that haven’t opened yet also be listed on next year’s list of new businesses? Talk about fixing your record. Now let’s see the list of businesses that went under, just by LA Brea we have Daphne’s Greek Cafe, Pizza Press, Baja Fresh, The Rotating Pop Up Restaurants, Crawfish Place, Rite Aid, Massage Envy, and the nail salon next to Target.

Must be due to crime and the horrible increases in minimum wage to the highest in the nation.
Guys, if they opened last year, they already knew about the *exorbitant* requirements for minimum wage workers.
BE HAPPY!

A lot of pricey meals and coffee, hipster wear, luxury gyms and expensive pot. How many places closed?

How many of these businesses are still in operation? How about a list of those that have closed? If she wants to take credit for the new businesses, she also needs to be take credit for those that have closed (new and old).

Maybe should exclude pop-ups like Guess Originals (Closed)
Why didn’t Sepi also request closures for past 2 years, so we can see net change in businesses.

Sepi Shyne is pure comedy. Everything about this strange one…..is pure comedy.
The new businesses were listed in the agenda two weeks ago.

Please do a story both one and two years from now, to see how many are still in business, and remind people of the insane job-killing $17 an hour minimum wage the wackos on the City Council have imposed. Imagine trying to run a bakery, paying someone still in high school $17 an hour, working next to someone with 10 years bakery experience, also getting $17 an hour.
