The LA County Sheriff Department’s Dialogue with a Deputy event will take place today, March 11, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Dialog Cafe, located at 8766 Holloway Drive in West Hollywood.

The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station had previously postponed the event, which was originally scheduled for February 25, 2023, due to bad weather.

The event offers community members the opportunity to connect with their local Sheriff’s deputies and discuss community issues in a friendly environment while enjoying coffee.

The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station says it aims to provide a platform for community members to voice concerns, ask questions, learn about volunteer opportunities and community events, and connect with deputies and command staff at the West Hollywood Station.

Don’t waste time on this nonsense. Get out there and enforce the law. Write tickets and arrest criminals.

I appreciate this event. Always good to be able to have a conversation with deputies and learn what’s on their mind and talk about how the public can support their work.

The police…..should just police. No need to discuss the particular needs of any one group. Get out there and actively enforce the law.

This city needs to stop being silly…..and focus of the basics of running a city.

Regardless if their purview, perhaps the Sheriff Deputies can observe & comment on the safety aspects of the sidewalk dining that several residents recently called out.

Absolutely! I live down the street and that place causes all kinds of traffic and pedestrian impediments.

Maybe the city should invite residents to a “Dialog with Code Compliance and Traffic Enforcement” at Dialog Cafe.
