Mayor Pro Tem John Erickson catches COVID

Mayor Pro Tem John Erickson has tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing mild symptoms. He will be unable to attend Monday’s City Council meeting in person but does plans on participating remotely.

Erickson attended a number of events over the past few days and after testing positive early Sunday, he made a number of calls to residents and others with whom he had been in contact.

One of those residents was Mikie Friedman, former member of the Disability Advisory Board and scooter opponent. Friedman and Erickson spent an hour at a local coffee shop on Saturday, and both felt ‘fine.’

The Mayor Pro Tem, who is known for being ‘on the go,’ was resting at home with Chinese food. When asked if needed chicken soup, the Mayor Pro Tem summoned the spirit of the late Ruth Williams. “These times make me miss Ruth, whenever I was sick she would send me food.”

COVID-19 Pandemic ☣ is NOT over and, likely to get much worse
In the first two years of the US COVID-19 Vaccines 💉 , they managed to prevent over 18 million additional hospitalizations and more than 3 million additional deaths ❗ The Omicron BA.4/BA.5 & XBB/XBB1.5 subvariants are neutralized by mRNA COVID-19 Bivalent Vaccine Boosters. These are available for FREE.

The COVID-19 Vaccines have been proven safe & effective, the nonpharmaceutical disease containment methods have ancient origins that take advantage of disease vectors’ physical limitations and, are highly effective in containment. Vaccination 💉 is needed for complete disease eradication. Masks 😷 are part of nonpharma containment and, highly effective. With COVID-19 immunity will wane over time. The COVID-19 Lockdowns in Europe saved ‘millions of lives’ Researchers say the death toll would have been “huge” without a lockdown.

Looks like this politician finally got a taste of his own medicine. Maybe next time he’ll think twice before demonizing a group of people for not wanting to inject themselves with unknown substances.

That’s NOT true, our Mayor Pro Tem Dr. John Erickson PhD has NEVER demonized people suffering addictions that might compel them to inject “unknown substances” and, has fully supported in dealing with addiction as a Medical⚕ issue as opposed to a criminal one. I agree he SHOULD of been fully Vaccinated💉 and boosted because, NOT ONLY have the COVID-19 Vaccines have been proven safe & effective, the Pharmacist will also give you a full list of ingredients

Vaccinations should be a choice and anyone choosing not to be vaccinated shouldn’t be alienated as they have been, The End.

If the unvaccinated were ONLY putting their own health and lives at risk, I would completely agree with you. But the unvaccinated are the driving force in producing new variants which are likely more virulent in the case of COVID-19 making it NOT ONLY more lethal but, more capable to evade immune responses. COVID-19 with a high R0 requires a very high % of the population to be immunized 💉 to attain herd immunity.

Cy, we can’t let science, (much less common sense), get in the way of our opinions.

Reality is that “common sense” seldom if ever gives us an accurate view of the real world, if it did we would have no need for investigation and experimentation. Go where the evidence takes you, it’s always an interesting and much better place.

Cy cites a two year old study on herd immunity vax thresholds conducted when covid “vaccine” efficacy was still unknown, now the public knows that the gene therapy shots don’t stop transmission.

Don’t be so quick to swallow the propaganda from two years ago insisting that the unvaccinated are driving variants, when epidemiology has long acknowledged that leaky vaccines (aka non sterilizing like these covid shots) drive mutation aka “original antigenic sin”.

And Steve… I’ve been paying attention to your views on the basic rights of the unvaccinated.

Doctor? LOL He’s a PhD in gender studies and I think some aspect of religion in relationship to gay people in the USA. I believe he is a former Roman Catholic. I’m sure he suppressed the issue of the pedophile priests who are now registered sex offenders. A couple living in this area. Who were not convicted by by VP Harris when she was DA of San Francisco. Frankly, Erickson is perhaps one of the most repulsive people I’ve ever seen. Last night especially at that mismanaged city council meeting with the only highlight being Annie. She kept confronting the… Read more »

Mayor Pro Tempore John Erickson received his Ph.D. in American Religious History from Claremont Graduate University & Dual-Master’s Degree from Claremont Graduate University. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a B.A. in English and Women’s Studies.

His background seems quite relevant when it comes to representing the interests of the people of West Hollywood❗

It merely bears remembering our politician’s histrionic policy responses, to a disease with a 99.9% recovery rate for most.

Because Erickson is just a part of the woke nonsense. Telling everyone to get a vaccine like he’s an MD! While in reality he’s just some PhD in gender studies. Working for planned parenthood. Only because of that woman who used to be on the city council whose name sounds like a cul-de-sac.
