Pump might leave WeHo, ET reports

Pump might be getting the bump, Entertainment Tonight is reporting.

The news outlet spoke with broker Leslie Haro with City Street Commercial, who told them, “The business (Pump) is being sold, but not the real estate and they’re looking for a long-term tenant.”

Owner Lisa Vanderpump disputed the claim, telling ETm, “We’ve been in the Pump location for 10 years, have a great relationship with the landlord, and are currently discussing resigning our lease over the next few months, but haven’t made a decision and will be open tonight, and come by and have a Pumptini,” she says.

“We’re also currently expanding our empire and will be opening two more restaurants with Caesars Palace.”

I feel like it is long overdue for Pump to close. That crowd is awful. People who chase reality TV show cast members, or the chance to be in the background of one of those garbage shows. That space is beautiful but the food is subpar. Good job, now sashay away.

Well if she wants to leave tell her “good bye, don’t let the door hit you in the rear end on the way out and, take Mr. Vanderpump with you because you can’t abandon garbage in West Hollywood.” Now set up a real restaurant worthy of the Great City of West Hollywood❗😎

I sure hope she doesn’t leave. Pump is one of the only real restaurants left at that end of Santa Monica Blvd. The rest all are bars and clubs (with the exception of Bottega Louie).

I agree but the food is so damn expensive now & the high cost of everything is the reason why people are fleeing out of CA to go where it’s more affordable to have a business & just plain live! I am not surprised that they are looking towards Nevada, the corporate & income tax free state to open a few more restaurants!

You think the rest of the country isn’t suffering from the high cost of goods? Don’t be fooled by states that say they have no taxes…they gouge you in other ways.

Great….another great business & it’s revenue possibly leaving WeHo! I remember the days where business’s were flourishing here & not empty, boarded up like many are now……so sad. I am wondering if Lisa is considering leaving because of the high crime! To a business person, high crime with NO ACCOUNTABILITY whatsoever equals NO CUSTOMERS! And CC wants to continue the foolish spending & it is NOT on safety, security, & peace of mind for the business’s & residents. It’s also a possibility the cost of living, the starting wages, & taxes to run a business here that is a major… Read more »

I’m pretty sure Lisa can afford to pay above minimum wage.

Just because someone is wealthy does not mean that they do not have a budget for every single business that they own! In a business, one must stay within the budget…period! If they don’t, eventually they will go belly up!

It’s a question of is it worth it..if business is down and profits are down…the risk assumed with owning a business becomes less desirable.

Oh,oh.This move by Pump to move away would be a sparkling opportunity for David Cooley to expand his Abbey empire. I bet he is chomping at the bit to get this piece of property. It is right next to his two existing properties,so the association will be easy to make.

The corner has come a long way since the old taco place was there. All the drama now at Pump will cease and Cooley will put any new ideas into action.

Does this mean that the excessively large and encroaching COVID sidewalk patio will go away? I hope so, no matter what happens.

Unfortunately, I believe that sidewalk patio was there before COVID. Hard to recall for sure, but I do remember a front patio before the pandemic.
