I did a ride along for two hours on a weekday night. The guy didn’t stop chasing down one aggressive lunatic after another, a fire, a domestic violence case and dog left in a car.
I can only image what an entire shift is like or a weekend patrol.

I wish these city council members that voted to reduce the number of sheriffs deputies would do a ride a long just for one night to see what our sheriffs deal with and the challenges they face and how the council’s (and some of the public’s) lack of support makes their hard job even harder.
