Why not more electric motorcycles in use? And why not more motorcycles in WeHo to respond quickly, through traffic, to a scene of need? Why not put License Plate Reading cameras on all main entrances into WeHo?

Most West Hollywood residents would appreciate increased traffic enforcement. A lot of drivers in West Hollywood blow through stop signs, since there’s little chance of receiving a citation for it.

If motorcycle deputies focus on traffic stops, do they mostly work 7am – 4pm, Monday through Thursday? What would it take to put more deputies on traffic enforcement?

Question for the captain: How do you keep moral up when our own city council doesn’t fully support law enforcement? You are trying to keep us safe and you have to fight for support from our local government.

Nighttime automobile crashes on Sunset Blvd. seem to have increased recently. there was one just the other night at Larrabee and Sunset, and another on Sunset and La Cienega. In one particular instance I experienced very quick reaction to a concern of potential looting and damage at the time of a protest at Sunset & Laurel possibly spilling into the neighborhood. Since I observed many businesses on Sunset boarded up and extra security detail, an email to Paul Arevalo and John Heilman led to Capt. Ramirez. All in concert, mission accomplished. My question to Captain Moulder is one of morale. In a city with a minority yet loud and vocal contingent blasting almost any action by the LASD, up to and including calls for complete abolition of all police, how does he maintain morale among his deputies?
