The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is urgently requesting the assistance of the public in locating a missing person, Jack Basil Cooper, last heard from in West Hollywood. Cooper, a 23-year-old male of White descent, was last in contact on October 23, 2023, near the intersection of Santa Monica and San Vicente Boulevard in West Hollywood.

Jack Cooper is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 125 pounds. He has straight brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a black shirt and black hat. The specific details about his clothing and physical appearance are crucial for the public to identify him.

The LASD and Cooper’s family are deeply concerned about his well-being. His sudden disappearance and the lack of contact since October 23 have raised alarms about his safety. The family’s plea for public assistance underscores the urgency of the situation.

The LASD Missing Persons Unit is spearheading the investigation and is keen on gathering any information that could lead to locating Cooper. The department has provided a contact number for the Missing Persons Unit, (323) 890-5500, urging anyone with information about Cooper’s whereabouts or the circumstances of his disappearance to come forward.

Furthermore, recognizing the importance of anonymity for some informants, the LASD has provided options for submitting tips anonymously. Individuals can call “Crime Stoppers” at (800) 222-TIPS (8477), or use digital means such as the “P3 Tips” mobile app available on Google Play and the Apple App Store, or the website http://lacrimestoppers.org. These platforms offer a secure way for individuals to provide information without revealing their identity.

The appeal for public assistance in locating Jack Basil Cooper is a reminder of the critical role communities play in aiding law enforcement efforts. The LASD emphasizes the importance of any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, as it could be vital in piecing together Cooper’s whereabouts and ensuring his safe return.

West Hollywood is a very transient city with many people out for a good time and not caring about their personal safety.I am sure many guys would get lost for a few days and finally return in one piece, but being missing for over a month is concerning. The abundance of drugs doesn’t help.

There is a family looking for him,so I hope he can be found.I agree with the other commenters on here about the tardiness of this notice.Keep your eyes open!!

Thank you for keeping look out. It was not uncommon for a few weeks to go by without hearing from him. We hope to hear from him soon. It is very difficult.

All the urgent, and yet we’re only hearing about this 40 days after his disappearance. The urgency should have been more timely, for his sake and those doing the investigation. WTF.

This is the first time, that I recall, this rag ever posting a follow-up on a missing person report.
So, a step in the right direction.
