On the eve of the Golden Globe nominations, the Beverly Hilton has reached a preliminary agreement with UNITE HERE Local 11, marking it as the first Beverly Hills hotel to achieve a 2023 deal with the uncompromising special interest union. The announcement came Friday, with the accord pending approval from union members.
This development comes amid ongoing industry activities, including the Directors Guild of America’s new commercial contract and the rebound in Hollywood employment after last summer’s strikes. The agreement with the Beverly Hilton reduces the likelihood of picketing at upcoming events such as the Golden Globe nominations and the awards ceremony, both scheduled at the hotel. UNITE HERE Local 11 has been actively striking at venues without agreements since June 30 and advocating for non-participation in events like the Golden Globes, produced by Dick Clark Productions, a subsidiary of The Hollywood Reporter’s parent company Penske Media.
While the Beverly Hilton’s capitulation is a victory for UNITE HERE, other popular venues like the Fairmont Century Plaza and Beverly Wilshire are yet to finalize deals with the union. The Beverly Hilton joins a list of hotels, including the Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites and the Loews Hollywood Hotel, in reaching preliminary agreements with UNITE HERE Local 11.
Unite Here are f—king vampires with absolutely no interest in worker betterment. Unite Here is a community destroyer. ENOUGH with them.
Nice to see your support for the working men of women of the hotel industry.
The profit & power maximizer interests of those who own the hotels is diametrically opposed to the betterment of the workers in a very structural systemic way. So the vampire analogy would be more applicable the them. Now if ONLY, Unite Here had the ability to be the destroyer of the community of real estate moguls, it would be cause for great celebration 🎉 . Recall in a People’s uprising when the Czars and others of their ilk declared “ENOUGH with them,” it didn’t end very well for those in power ❗
“Avert siege by,” really ❓ As if questioning the divine royal policy of Golden Globe rises to the level an attack by a battering ram. Then referring to UNITE HERE Local 11 👼🏽 as an “uncompromising special interest union” where that “special interest” is the nonmillionaire working person that Beverly Hells billionaires 👹 gained their wealth from by exploiting, cheating and, oppressing ❗ Dick Clark productions successfully lobbied for policies that harm poor Black Mothers in the absence of Union Protection.
Bravo!
You’re hilarious and not at the same time. Why did you capitalize “Black Mothers”? You intentionally avoid basic proper grammar skills in an attempt to virtue signal? Dick Clark is an iconic White Man that you would trade places with in a heartbeat if you could, even now. Lol. I’m gonna go back to enjoying my Whiteness and having a wonderful day. I hope you do too.
YES and, a bold all upper case BLACK MOTHERS 💖 if anyone missed the virtue signal ❗ With proper American English grammar as opposed to British English grammar, the punctuation is enclosed in the quotation marks. Matt Delmont, Professor of Americans Studies at Scripps College wrote the book “The Nicest Kids in Town: American Bandstand, Rock ‘n’ Roll, and the Struggle for Civil Rights in 1950’s Philadelphia”— that calls out Dick Clark🤮 for being a racist fraud.
Unite Here is an evil entity. Get real.
Reality is that’s a mendacious ad hominem attack against UNITE HERE Local 11👼🏽 that comes from narrow trust fund baby imagination ❗ 🤣
