“Whistleblower 3” has identified herself to the City Manager and City Council. WEHOonline will not publish her name, but she is a female who has worked at various positions within City Hall since 2008.
WEHOonline uses an identification process to keep the identity of sources confidential. “Whistleblower 3” refers to only one source.
The employee has now been granted protections under the City of West Hollywood whistleblower protection policy.
WEHOonline has published two articles related to the code of conduct and City Hall whistleblower policy.
In the coming days we will publish a new letter directly from the “Whistleblower 3” in which she can out herself. The City of West Hollywood has been given the opportunity to reply. Copies of both letters will be published in the coming days.
Email from the city manager “Standing Together In Support of One Another.”
No matter how much these executives try to convince us that we are one they have made it clear that day to day employees belongs in a different group and the email implies that a disgruntled employee being the whistleblower but if the rumors of who she is true then there is more to the story because she’s always polite professional and highly ethical I’ve known her a long time and met her when she had the nickname of speedy gonzalez.
Oh my, I have not been called that in a very long time and you’re absolutely right about the city’s inequity.
Yes, I heard about the email and all I can say is that if the City Manager’s statements were true, we would not be here.
After 22 years of working for this city, I can vouch for the city trying to discredit. Its employees who have genuine concerns and they don’t want to take care of it they just turned a blind eye.
Thank you, Larry! I started working at WeHo in 2008, not 2009. 🙂
the article has been updated.
I am SO looking forward to reading about your experience. More power to you, and good on ya for doing the right thing.
Thank you. 🙂
I support you and you’re not the problem. I was also told that I was a problem and was treated very unfairly. You have my support. I left West Hollywood just recently for my own mental health.
Rather than waste peoples’ reading time with some insignificant date correction, I was hoping you would write, “Larry, I feel so protected, so please feel free to print my name”. Makes me think you don’t trust the promised protections of the so called “whistleblower act”, and instead you are aware of the city’s long history of punishing certain people who don’t always play their games.
Yes, I am very well aware of the city’s retaliation history.
Please understand that this is not being done to gain personal attention. I am doing this, alone, to bring change to city hall and the union. No one deserves to be treated as I have.
Thank you for your bravery, for the good of all. We see you, and support you.
Thank you, West. 🙂
You have the respect and support of many more than might be visible. I have forwarded much of this to both Democrat and Republican state legislators who I consult with and this city must be cleaned up.
Thank you for your willingness to inform us of what I believe are the facts and while I have no faith in anyone at City Hall including the city attorney- I hope someone outside the county will look for any violations of state or federal law and act accordingly
I’m impressed about your efforts to “clean the City Hall” a much and long awaited “must”! We (a group of WeHoians) too have been constricted with corrupt code officer dealings and became the target of a wild smear campaign orchestrated in return. We now – however – have a collection of damning paperwork to support any action brought forward in an investigation into the whistleblowers attest. We can clearly proof the City Attorney to be part of a coverup! Pls reach out!
Yes yes yes 🙌
