A meet and greet event will be held for Austin, Texas, mayoral candidate Doug Greco on May 11th from 4 pm to 6 pm at Rocco’s WeHo, located at 8900 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069. The event will feature Doug Greco, a former West Hollywood resident, along with current West Hollywood Mayor John Erickson and hosted by the Honorable John D’Amico and the Greco family.
Doug Greco is campaigning to become the only openly LGBTQ mayor in Texas, with a focus on issues of affordability and civil rights, in reaction to recent legislative actions in Texas that have included the passage of anti-LGBTQ and anti-immigrant laws. His previous roles include working with Equality California and as a grassroots organizer with the Industrial Areas Foundation in Austin.
Greco’s professional background also includes teaching high school and leading efforts to reform Texas’s corporate welfare program, which redirected funds away from educational initiatives to major corporations. These experiences have been significant in shaping his approach to governance and civic engagement.
The upcoming event at Rocco’s WeHo provides an opportunity for community members and supporters to learn more about Greco’s initiatives and campaign for the mayoral position in Austin.
Does John D’Amico still think he’s relevant?
If he plans on bringing radical ideology to the city of Austin like some of the current council members have done to West Hollywood, I say to the city of Austin….BEWARE!!! Don’t make our mistake!!!
Am I the only one who thinks that this is weird? Why isn’t he fundraising in Austin? Kind of a bad sign when you can’t raise enough money in the City where you want to be mayor.
Handsome, smart White man has my vote.
Best of luck to Doug!
