The whispers and speculations are true! Beaches WeHo proudly announces they have purchased the venue that is currently HEART WeHo, and joining the Beaches team is former Heart Weho owner Lance Bass and Paul Nicholls. The deal was expertly brokered by Jamie Rogers at CBRE.
The powerhouse Beaches team, comprising of Jacob Shaw and Rene Carta, Logan Carta, and their parents Julio and Maria Carta, are all set to breathe new life into the venue. Their vision? To take what once was a standalone nightclub into a vibrant, full-service entertainment restaurant and venue that encapsulates the essence of West Hollywood’s inclusive and dynamic spirit.
When the Beaches team shared their vision with Lance Bass and Paul Nicholls, they immediately shared the same enthusiasm and were thrilled to join the project. “I’m very excited to join the Beaches team, together we will be revolutionizing the experience,” said Lance Bass. “Imagine a place where the community can come together to dine, dance, and enjoy top-notch entertainment all under one roof. That’s the future we’re creating.”
Renovations will kick off right after the exuberant Pride Month celebrations, with the highly anticipated grand reopening slated for Labor Day 2024. The location will undergo a necessary facelift in phases throughout the summer, with projections for the finished concept to be revealed in the fall of 2024. The newly revamped venue will debut as **BEACHES TROPICANA**, the flagship headquarters of the Cuban Beaches Brand.
In addition, the existing Beaches WeHo location will also undergo a transformation into **Beaches Baja**,
featuring an improved vibe and an exciting new Tex-Mex menu. This refreshed location will continue to deliver the inclusive, high-energy atmosphere that Beaches is known for, now with a delightful culinary twist.
Furthermore, the team is in talks with several high-profile chefs and hopes to make an exciting announcement once these plans are finalized.

Seems everyone has jumped ship at Heart and no one wants to be associated with the club, but what about Albert Vasquez who was beat up and left in a pulp by the Heart bouncer? I would hope that no business licenses and no liquor licenses are exchanged/approved until Vasquez and his family are satisfied and damages paid. Why do you think “everyone” has washed their hands on the Vasquez attack? The bouncer has been arrested and charged, it is my understanding the family has retained representation for civil action. Any monies made in the sale and by license sales is subject cival actions.
What makes you think that this was a cash transaction, rather than a deal to walk away from the lease? Sale doesn’t always mean Sale.
Finally, someone is doing something different. dining, entertainment, music – sounds like a throwback to the old supper clubs. With so much talent in this city, I hope they have wonderful singers perform. We have enough drag shows..so I hope they stick to doing something no one else is doing instead of more of what we already have. Best of luck to them!

I hope Beaches won’t feature the same sharks and algae that made Heart WeHo so bad. However, their best bet would be to call up Cher to help them turn back time and try to recreat the magic, fun, music, and safety that made Rage such a beloved and legendary hotspot for decades.
Forgo the bar turn it into a another useless homeless housing facility like the one that is going into the Holloway Motel and then soon after to expand into the CVS building
This place NEVER really re-opened after Lance Bass and co bought it. They did that lame exterior makeover and then never did any marketing or a grand opening. Always closed during the day. Ugly black exterior with no signage. No surprise it is closing. Once Lance’s career picked up slightly, I think he decided to leave the bar business to those that know how to run one. It was obvious this group didn’t have a clue!
The new Lance Bass info is interesting. As they say, if first you don’t succeed. The problem with that space is no natural lighting. They need to somehow make it light bright and inviting. Maybe skylights? Cut back the overgrown ficus too will help and finally just good lighting in general since it is North facing. Best of luck!

Heart didn’t open that long ago, and it’s already being remodeled for the new owner. What a waste of materials and negative environmental impact! It’ll be dark in there, and everyone will either be high or drunk, so who cares!
After the bad publicity regarding the man beaten at the door of the club,I am not surprised.Any lawsuit that would be started would go after the money bank of that club.I guess the current owners didn’t want the hassles of a lawsuit,so they just gave up. Now that Heart is up for sale,I think the days of having a cavernous dance place is just about over.In calmer days with the less crime,it was perfect,but with the big uncontrollable crowds,it is unmanageable.
