Andaz West Hollywood, located along the iconic Sunset Strip, is set to launch Kaye Records at Riot House, a new vinyl bar concept, on July 26, 2024.

The hotel, known for its rich musical heritage, was one of the first and most influential establishments on the Sunset Strip, hosting legendary rock ‘n’ roll stars over the years. Dubbed the “Riot House” during the vibrant 1970s, its guest list included iconic bands such as The Rolling Stones, The Who, and Duran Duran.

Kaye Records at Riot House aims to celebrate this legacy by offering live DJ performances every Friday and Saturday night starting at 7 p.m. DJ “Selectors” will spin tracks from the hotel’s extensive collection of nearly 3,000 vinyl records on the new stage at Riot House, the hotel’s signature restaurant.

Drawing inspiration from Japanese jazz kissa, hotel lobby parties, Hollywood nightclubs, backyard gatherings, and underground hip-hop record shops, Kaye Records at Riot House is the brainchild of Andaz West Hollywood’s in-house DJ Jeremy Onesko, also known as DJ J. Roberts. The concept is a tribute to Onesko’s mother, Kaye, whose love for music and vinyl inspired his passion for DJing.

“I have always wanted to create a spot that really embraces eclectic music, be it jazz, soul, hip hop, house, reggae, electronic, and more,” said Onesko. “At the heart of Kaye Records at Riot House is a mission to celebrate music across all genres, with a DJ-friendly approach to presentation and performance. Drawing from my experience as a DJ since the 90s, where I began my journey on two turntables, Kaye Records provides a personal platform to revisit cherished LPs, 12 inches, and 45s, sharing my extensive collection with a fresh audience of eager listeners.”
