The West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s political action committee has selected George Nickle and Zekiah Wright to receive its endorsement in November’s City Council elections.
The two were picked “for their commitment to addressing critical issues facing our community, including homelessness, affordable housing, and public safety,” according to the PAC.
Mayor John M. Erickson, the only incumbent of 10 candidates in the running, was notably passed over for an endorsement. Erickson and the Chamber have sparred in the past over issues such as the city’s minimum wage ordinance.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 5.
Homelessness is inferring with public safety and business because West Hollywood doesn’t have homeless outreach workers that work out of city hall !
