West Hollywood celebrated its 40th year of cityhood with a gala Thursday evening inside the Pacific Design Center.
The free event drew hundreds of attendees and a who’s who of WeHo movers and shakers, including County Assessor Jeffrey Prang and former Mayor Abbe Land. WeHo’s current mayor, John M. Erickson, welcomed the crowd alongside his colleagues on City Council: Vice Mayor Chelsea Lee Byers and Councilmembers Lauren Meister and John Heilman, and Councilmember-elect Danny Hang.
WeHo Drag Laureate Pickle opened the show to a standing-room only audience inside the PDC’s Silver Screen Theater, where WeHo Stories presented an original documentary film about the city’s origin. Those not in the theater mingled on the second floor catwalks, viewing displays about future city projects and enjoying live music.
Did Erickson get his face tatted in the first photo?
The bright side of the bleak looking CC is that atleast there is no Shlepi Shline.
