West Hollywood has long been celebrated for its strong sense of community and the care its residents have for one another. In light of the recent wildfire crisis, local businesses have once again stepped up to support first responders and those affected by the disaster.
On Thursday, Dialog Cafe gave away free coffee and meals to our heroes, writing in an Instagram post: “City of LA, we’re here for you. Today we’ll be offering free coffee & warm meals to all first responders fighting the fires. We love you, stay safe.”
Dtown Pizzeria also showed up to bolster the community on Thursday. Known for its Detroit-style pizza, Dtown offered free slices to first responders and displaced residents whose homes were lost to the fires.
Micky’s is giving meals and VIP memberships to first responders, writing on Facebook: “Thank you to LA’s heroic first responders. Micky’s West Hollywood would like to offer a complimentary meal for the amazing work you do keeping our city safe. To our community, our doors are open to you. We would like to offer VIP memberships free of charge to help during these trying times.”
The Abbey is offering meals to first responders and evacuees affected by the fire. An Instagram post from The Abbey reads: “The Abbey is open today, and our hearts are with everyone affected by the fires. To support our community, we’re offering free meals to anyone displaced by the fires and to the incredible first responders keeping us safe. Please stay safe, take care of each other, and know you’re always welcome here.”
These generous gestures reflect the strong sense of solidarity that defines West Hollywood, where businesses and residents alike come together during difficult times to help one another.
