City Has $3 Million Extra to Spend

The West Hollywood City Council approved a revised 2012-2013 operating and capital budget at its Monday night meeting. The new budget includes an additional $3 million earmarked for the general fund.

City Manager Paul Arevalo explained that the additional $3 million came from increased hotel room occupany and sales tax revenue, which he attributed to the improving economy.

The revised budget also includes a $700,000 grant for the city’s library from Los Angeles County.

Revised expenditures include $250,000 for repairs to City Hall and $500,000 for new permitting software for the city’s website.
