Senior Health Fair Coming to Plummer Park

West Hollywood will hold the 12th Annual Senior Health Fair on Wednesday, May 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Community Center at Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd. between Vista and Fuller.

The fair will feature presentations, free health screenings and representatives from more than 40 community organizations.

Among the free health screenings offered are those for balance assessment, blood glucose for diabetes, blood pressure, bone density, breast cancer risk assessment, dental, hearing, podiatry, pulmonary lung function, stroke and total cholesterol.

The fair is one of a number of events celebrating West Hollywood’s senior community during May, which is recognized across the country as “Senior Month.”

So one can only assume that this is for unemployed or retired seniors? Too bad. So many “seniors” work these days a weekend would’ve been better. Maybe it should be called the Elderly Health Fair or Health Fair for Out of Work Seniors!
