There are many treasures in the Russian Community. Their bakeries and food stuffs are excellent . Yearly on Christmas Eve I have had one of their delis prepare dishes for Russian style dinner party which everyone thoroughly enjoys. The owners are always thrilled that others enjoy their culture through beautiful and hearty food.
As the proud owner of a 40 year old collection of non-tourist, pre-Glasnost Matreoshkas – I may just amble over and see what is happening. I have not ever done so in the past – but it sounds like fun and food and entertainment. And an event in Plummer Park is a celebration in itself!!
