Linwood Dunn Theatre
A two-day film festival of “orphan” films (films that were previously neglected) starts May 10 at 8 p.m. at the Linwood Dunn Theatre at 1313 Vine Street and Fountain, Hollywood. The opening film, “Portrait of Jason,” is a 1967 documentary about a gay black man. All the films shown have been restored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science. Included is an eclectic collection of shorts, documentaries and full-feature films. Tickets are $3-$5 for “Portrait of Jason.” All-day passes for May 11 are $10-$15 (if purchased in advance includes lunch) and individual tickets are $3-$5.
