West Hollywood has released its “WeHo Fast Facts,” a summary report of its 2013 Community Study. WeHo Fast Facts is now available online, with hard copies to follow soon.
The Community Study updated the city’s demographics and informed the priorities for allocating over $4 million to local non-profit organizations that provide social services to help support community members.
“WeHo Fast Facts” include:
- 90 percent of survey respondents rated their quality of life as excellent or good.
- Residents like the city’s pedestrian orientation; central location near amenities; its safety and cleanliness.
- West Hollywood residents live longer and have lower rates of adult obesity and chronic disease than the LA County average.
- 82 percent of survey respondents were satisfied with the city’s efforts to communicate with residents.
- 56 percent of survey respondents have lived in West Hollywood for 10 or more years.
- As was the case in the 2000 U.S. Census, the 2010 Census showed residents ages 25-34 continue to make up the largest percentage of the population at 27 percent, followed by 35-44 year olds at 20 percent.
