Impulse Group, an organization formed in 2011 to educate young gay men in West Hollywood about safe sex, staged its fourth annual Pulse of the City event Thursday night at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
Speakers at the event included Dr. Greg Cason, a psychologist who appears on the Bravo show “LA Shrinks,” who spoke about the issues sero-discordant couples may face, and Aaron Laxton, an HIV positive activist who discussed issues he has faced in such relationships.
The event, which featured cocktails, a buffet, blackjack tables and a modern dance / hip hop performance by Reach LA, drew several hundred young men. Guests were offered safe sex kits and a free HIV test.
