Academy Award-winning director William Friedkin signs and discusses his memoir “The Friedkin Connection” at Book Soup, 8818 Sunset Blvd. and Holloway. Friedkin has directed well-known classics such as “The French Connection,” “The Exorcist” and “To Live and Die in LA.” His memoir recounts his time spent in Hollywood during the cultural revolution, when film styles were drastically changing and when Friedkin as a director had to step outside traditional film boundaries. Admission to the event is free.
