WeHo is known as a celebrity playground, but it’s not just drinks and dancing that draws stars to the Creative City. It’s also literature.
Organizers of the free West Hollywood Book Fair have announced that some big names will take part in the event. The lineup includes:
- Writer T. C. Boyle, an award-winning novelist and short story writer who’s promoting a new book of stories. “T. C. Boyle Stories II” is a follow-up to his 1998 “T. C. Boyle Stories” collection; it includes 14 new stories as well as previously published works.
- Producer /director William Friedkin (The Exorcist)
- Actress Debbie Reynolds (Singin’ in the Rain)
- Producer Lynda Obst (Sleepless in Seattle)
- Novelist Marisa Silver (Mary Coin)
- Dead Kennedys drummer D. H. Peligro
In addition to author panel discussions, vendor booths and workshops, the book fair will this year add “Beyond the Book programming such as live theater and artists. Last year’s focus on cooking will continue with the return of the culinary pavilion.
The book fair will be held on Sunday, Sept. 29 at West Hollywood Park and the West Hollywood Library.
The free West Hollywood Book Festival organizers have announced that some notable names will attend.
