William Wright, the West Hollywood resident who led a drug smuggling ring that shipped cocaine and marijuana bi-coastal in luxury cars, was sentenced to 13 1/2 years in prison Tuesday, according to an Associated Press report.

Previously, Wright pleaded guilty to money laundering, conspiracy, drug possession and other charges.

Wright is believed to be one of five men who ran the operation, which involved Wright buying the cocaine in California for $20,500 a kilogram and selling it in New York for five times that amount, according to the AP.

Drugs were funneled into Los Angeles from Mexico and then hidden inside luxury vehicles that were transported to Long Island, NY using tractor-trailers.
