‘Secret Years’ screening at The Ray Stark Family Theatre

‘Secret Years’ documentary screening at The Ray Stark Family Theatre, a film exploring the lives of lesbians living in Hungary after the fall of communism in 1989.  The documentary discusses repression, openness and radical conservatism that have shaped Hungarian society in the recent past.   Today, growing hostility to sexual minorities has again forced many lesbians in Hungary to hide their identities.  The screening will be followed by a discussion with filmmakers Anna Borgos and Mária Takács moderated by Professor of Russian and Women’s Studies Anastasia Kayiatos from Macalester College.  Admission is free.  RSVP required.
