Here are the results of competition in the Rock N Roll Division and the Champions Division in Week Six of Varsity Gay League’s kickball season (playoffs start next week):

Champions Division

  • Bloody Marys Beat Kate Moss 7-1
  • Hood Rats beat Pitches N’Hoes 5-4
  • We Woke Up Like This beat TBD 5-1
  • The Green Avengers beat Suck My Kick 10-3

Rock N Roll Division

  • St. Olaf Cougars beat Men at Twerk 24-2
  • The Wrecking Balls beat Kick Ball Change 10-4
  • Misfits beat Pitches Be Crazy 10-9

Why have we never had a team called the “Varsity Drag” – a song that was the bee’s knees in the 20’s on chic campuses all over the NE. The lyrics were lively and the dance was of the times. Must be done with appropriate costume. Herewith: “Here is the Drag; here’s how it goes. Up on your heels, down on your toes – everyone do the Varsity Drag.”
