The already convoluted case in which West Hollywood beauty maven Dawn DaLuise has been arrested for soliciting the murder of a competitor has taken a strange new twist.

In an interview with ABC News 20/20, Edward Feinstein, a young friend of DaLuise, says it was she who asked Feinstein to post Craigslist ads, send text messages and distribute paper flyers soliciting someone to rape her to act out her sexual fantasy. DaLuise cited those ads as evidence that salon owner Gabriel Suarez, a competitor, was trying to do her harm. DaLuise was arrested last month on a charge of soliciting someone to murder Suarez.

“She approached me with the idea of, ‘Hey, I want Gabriel out of the building. And this is what I want you to do’,” Feinstein told “20/20.” “She wanted me to pretend to be Gabriel, send her fake texts, post Craigslist ads. She wanted it to seem like she was being stalked so she could say it was Gabriel.”

Feinstein, a Studio City resident who until recently lived in West Hollywood, said he got free facials in exchange for posting the ads. He has an arrest record on charges including felony credit card fraud, grand theft and identity theft. His statement that DaLuise asked him to post the rape ads appears to conflict with a report that DaLuise herself approached the Sheriff’s Department to complain about them.

DaLuise, 55, was arrested on March 5 and remains in jail in lieu of a $1 million bond. Sheriff’s deputies arrested Feinstein, 28, on March 12 on a charge of cyberstalking. He was released from custody on $150,000 bail.

It is Feinstein who told investigators that DaLuise was trying to solicit Chris Gelle, an offensive lineman who played three games for the Detroit Lions in 1987, to murder Suarez.

“I found someone who is going to take Gabriel out. His name is Chris Geile and he’s an ex Detroit Lion quarterback. He’s 6’7” and 315 lbs. he’s on my fb page,” DaLuise wrote to Feinstein.

Investigators have found no evidence to date that Gelle was involved in the plot to murder Suarez.

DaLuise is owner of Skin Refinery at 8543 Santa Monica Blvd. near West Knoll. Her clients have included celebrities such as Christina Ricci, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicky Minaj and Jennifer Anniston (purportedly a fan of DaLuise’s bikini waxes), and she has been featured in magazines such as Vogue and InStyle. Suarez opened his Smooth Cheeks skin care salon last year in another suite at the same address.
