Could West Hollywood be the drag queen capital of the world? Consider: We have the Drag Queen World Series. (Well, this year it was in Glendale, but where do you thing all those ball-batting queens came from?) LA Weekly names six WeHo venues as among the top 10 drag clubs in Los Angeles. Among them is Hamburger Mary’s, whose drag bingo night is a major civic attraction. Then there are all the drag personalities who live here, such as RuPaul and Raja. All we need is a drag queen on the WeHo City Council.

So of course there is no better place to screen the pilot of a drag TV show whose producer hopes to get it aired on Logo TV, Viacom’s LGBT cable channel.

“1 Gay 5 Queens” will be screened Tuesday night at Rage, 8911 Santa Monica Blvd. at San Vicente. The show’s “one gay” is host Tony G (also its producer) and its “five queens” are Miss Barbie Q, Eddie D-Lite, Cake Moss, Allusia and Beyonce Glamazon. Tony G asks the queens questions about their lives. The show features original music by Casey Alva Scott Anderson and vocals by Pepper Mashay and Melissa Brown.

The red carpet will be rolled out for celebrities at 8:30 p.m. and the pilot will be screened at 9:30 p.m., followed by Rage’s weekly “Dreamgirls Revue” at 10.

If you live in West Hollywood you can watch the screening on Time Warner Cable WEHO Public Access 36, on Monday’s at 8:30 p.m.
