The Los Angeles LGBT Center is calling for female-identified nominees for its 2014 State Farm Good Neighbor Award. Nominations, due by midnight on August 20, can be submitted via the Center’s website.

“Each year The State Farm Good Neighbor Award highlights a different member of our diverse LGBTQ community,” according to the Center’s website. “Past honorees include an emerging leader under the age of 35 and a Hispanic community member in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. This year we will honor an outstanding female member of the LGBTQ community.”

The Center’s call for nominations asks for recommendations of women who identifiy as female (transgender, cisgender, genderqueer) and “who are making a tangible, positive difference to the well-being and strength of the LGBTQ community in Los Angeles.”
