Adonis Theater, the notorious and legendary gay adult movie house that closed under homophobic pressure from developers, will “reappear” for one night only as artists from the LA queer community descend on Human Resources, also a former adult theater now turned experimental art gallery. The event, presented by Ian MacKinnon and Travis Wood, will feature artists such as Gregory Barnett, Ben Cuevas, Andrew Disorder, David Parke Epstein, Hank Henderson, Hunter, Jason Jenn, Andrea Lambert, David LeBarron, Ricky Luna, Ian MacKinnon, Martin Matamoros, Leopold Nunan, Robert Patrick, Steven Reigns, Jack Shamblin, Vyper SynVille, Evans Vestal Ward, Trevor Wayne, Travis Wood and Rich Yap. They will transform Human Resources into an amusement park of gay art, video and performance. The gallery installation and video screenings begin at 8 p.m. with a show following at 9 p.m. Admission (limited to those 18 and older) is $10. Tickets can be purchased online at adonisproject.bpt.mea. More information is available at facebook.com/AdonisProjectLA
