A car crashed into Baby Blues restaurant on Santa Monica Boulevard around 2 p.m. today, injuring four people.

Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Rick Flores said the vehicle ended up halfway into the building, which is at 7953 Santa Monica Blvd. between Hayworth and Edinburgh avenues.

The four victims were taken to a hospital for treatment, another county fire department inspector said.

It looks to me like the car was parking in the Handicap spot and instead of hitting the brake, the driver hit the gas. Hope all the injured are feeling better.

I’d love to know how that went down as that’s in their parking lot and at that angle it seems the car was most likely traveling eastbound on SMB? Or maybe they just floored the gas pulling into the lot instead of hitting the brakes. Hmmm, very strange.
