Dining, nightlife, shopping — now there’s another reason to visit West Hollywood. But you need to be prepared to camp out on what looks likely to be a chilly night.
Maxfield, one of the country’s most famous high-end boutiques, is one of only a handful of places that will offer the new Apple watch for sale beginning Friday morning.
Already this afternoon people were lined up outside the entrance to the store at 8825 Melrose Ave., west of North Robertson. Maxfield will begin selling the tech gizmos when it opens at 9 a.m. tomorrow. Other places where the Apple watch can be purchased are Colette, the stylish Paris boutique; London’s Dover Street Market and the Corner in Berlin.
The Apple watch also will be available for purchase online, although delivery may take several weeks. The price of the watch, depending on accoutrements, runs from about $350 to $10,000. While it has garnered lots of publicity for Apple, the watch has gotten mixed reviews.
This got them free advertising on the late local news last night – several helicopters were making a lot of noise b/w 9-10:30 – thought it was some police pursuit or other incident until I remembered this article.
