WeHo’s ChiChi La Rue adult store has won the “Independent Retailer of the Year” at the 10th annual Storerotica Awards in Burbank.
The awards are intended to honor “the best in the adult storefront sector … celebrating a decade of adult retail excellence,” StorErotica magazine, creator of the award, said in a press release.
“We are deeply honored to received this award from StorErotica Magazine, as voted on by our peers,” said Coco LaChine, manager of ChiChi LaRue’s, which is located at 8861 Santa Monica Blvd. near Larrabee.
“ChiChi LaRue’s strives to provide a fun experience for our customers, with new and innovative merchandise mix. We have the largest selection of lubes in all of West Hollywood, and carry the best brands of adult toys and novelties on the market. ChiChi LaRue’s is the only gay owned and operated adult boutique in Weho.”
The store was the creation of Larry David Paciotti, a gay adult film director who is best known by his drag name: ChiChi LaRue.
Among StorErotica’s other award winners are: “Sexual Enhancement Company of the Year,” The Screaming O (for Dynamo Delay Spray); “Male Pleasure Product of the Year,” Everlaster Series by Sportsheets, and “BDSM Product of the Year,” Fifty Shades of Grey “Keep Still Over the Bed Cross Restraint” by LoveHoney.
