The City of West Hollywood, AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA), and the L.A. Public Library will collaborate to host a Covered California information and enrollment event to help answer questions, compare health plans and quotes and provide assistance with enrolling in the Covered California health insurance program.
The event will take place on Saturday from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at West Hollywood Library at 625 N. San Vicente Blvd. Attendees who plan to enroll on-site will need to bring a valid photo ID or driver’s license, and either proof of income, or an estimate of 2016 annual income.
The City of West Hollywood is committed to engaging and educating community members about healthcare coverage. The current open enrollment period for healthcare insurance through Covered California ends on Jan. 31. Covered California is the State of California’s health insurance marketplace, where individuals, families and small businesses can obtain health insurance under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).
In addition to the upcoming event, there are a number of resources available for eligible community members to get information about ACA and to enroll for health insurance: Covered California is the place to go for California residents to find out information and to research plans and options, utilize budget calculators, and enroll for health care coverage.
