West Hollywood Sheriff’s deputies closed Sherbourne Drive to pedestrian and vehicular traffic this morning in response to a bomb threat.
Lt. Edward Ramirez said the office manager at a law firm on Sherbourne received a text message saying there was a bomb in the building.
Deputies responded a little after 7 a.m. and walked through the office and noticed a lunch box on a counter that couldn’t be accounted for.
Ramirez said the Sheriff’s Department’s arson and explosive team was called in to X-ray the package and search the building. That team determined that the package was just a lunch box and no bomb was found.
Sherbourne, which is just north of Sunset Boulevard, was reopened to vehicle and pedestrian traffic around 10 a.m.
Thank god!
