The police can not be everywhere so if one wishes to avoid being hurt or robbed they arm themselves. It’s a fact that those states which advocate the ownership of guns have a lower crime rate than those who accept physical harm and robberies as a normal part of life. And the difference between domestic terrorism on the public, robberies and assault & battery, is one who is armed has a better chance of avoiding the crimes attempted on them than those who surrender as part of todays life.
