A developer is planning a four-story building with 16 condominium units at 1017 N. Croft Ave. according to the Real Deal, the real estate industry publication.
The Real Deal identified the developer as Madison Group, which is building a similar condo building on 829-831 N. Croft Ave.
The 1017 N. Croft property lies just outside the southern border of the City of West Hollywood. Currently there is a five-unit apartment building on the lot.
In a filing with the City of Los Angeles, London Capital Group is listed as the applicant on the filing. “It has ties to real estate investment firm Madison Group, led by Robert Neman and Farhad Farahmand, which owns other condominium projects in the Los Angeles region, including a 16-unit property at 11715 Chenault Street,” the Real Deal reported.
J Simmons: We understand this but as the project is adjacent to West Hollywood, it is newsworthy. All this said, a larger point needs to be made. Developers need to do much more towards gentrification. The housing shortage in LA greatly affects our city. Why aren’t they doing more in the La Brea Venice/Jefferson area and moving south? I drive this area frequently and there seem to be endless opportunities to build multi-family units.
They Filed with THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES. West Hollywood has no standing in projects outside the City of West Hollywood.
