Are we long past the point that the Sheriff’s need to get out of their comfy vehicles and start walking beats? We’ve put the responsibility on volunteers to do the sheriff’s jobs and we seem to be ok with that??? I for one, am not! I believe in police being a part of the community and not just showing up when they are needed. How about being their before they are needed to head things off.

OMFG! We are living in a violent, crime infested Hell Hole! These are serious, violent and scary crimes. IDC if after being thrown to the ground “only” a victim’s phone was stolen; the idea he was stalked then attacked is beyond. Then another person struck on the head with a gun pointed at him, and on and on it goes. Man, something is up. We. Do. Not. Feel. Safe. And that is unacceptable. I tell ya, something’s gotta give or someone’s gotta go. This cannot remain.

Notice that 4 of the 18 crimes listed are located around the “Gateway Center”, the biggest mistake that was ever built. La Brea/SMB is a big problem, yet the Sheriff’s Department doesn’t think we need a Substation on the East Side.

Yes, I did notice, which is why so many of us Eastside residents are burning mad and demanding action.

You can have substation there, but if you dont have enough deputies to staff it then it’s worthless. I heard from reliable sources that a lot of Weho officers are leaving because of their captain.
