Vehicle burglaries have begun to increase. There were nine reported in West Hollywood last week. The list below is of all serious (Part 1) crimes reported to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station during the week of Nov. 5 to 11.
Nov. 5
Aggravated Assault – Knife (Suspect Arrested). 8600 block Sunset Boulevard at 9:50 a.m. A man entered the hotel bar area and began acting erratically. After being asked to leave the suspect picked up a steak knife and pointed it at employees. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #07340
Vehicle Burglary. 1200 block Fuller Avenue between 7 p.m. and 8 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear windshield and removed property from the trunk. #07356
Vehicle Burglary. 1000 block Sierra Bonita Avenue between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed property from the front floorboard. #07360
Vehicle Burglary. 600 block Sweetzer Avenue between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear windshield and removed property from the trunk. #07370
Nov. 6
Grand Theft. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 9:30 p.m. A man removed a laptop computer from a table while the victim was sleeping. #07378
Grand Theft. 1200 block North Curson Avenue between 7:45 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. An unknown suspect removed clothing and electronics from the interior of the unlocked vehicle. #07383

Aggravated Assault – Knife (Suspect Arrested). 1000 block North Orange Grove Avenue at 6:25 p.m. A man swung a knife at another man after a brief argument. The victim was cut on his arm. Responding deputies located and arrested the suspect. #07396
Grand Theft. 8400 block Sunset Boulevard at 11:30 pm. A man removed a purse from an unsecured office in the lobby of the hotel. #07403
Grand Theft. 8800 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 12:20 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone that was left unattended on the bar countertop. #07414
Other Burglary. 8700 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 3:36 a.m. A man used a key to gain entry but did not take anything. #07389
Vehicle Burglary. 8700 block Sunset Boulevard between 7:45 p.m. and 12 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed property from the front floor board. #07418

Vehicle Burglary. Doheny Drive / Santa Monica Boulevard between 8:30 and 11:35 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed property from the rear floor board. #07422

Residential Burglary (Attempt). 7100 block Fountain Avenue between midnight and 6 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the side door window and unlocked the door but did not gain entry. #07425
Vehicle Burglary. 7600 block Lexington Avenue between Nov. 9 and Nov. 11. An unknown suspect removed clothing from the backseat. No sign of forced entry. #07466

Grand Theft. 8200 block Sunset Boulevard between 3:10 and 3:25 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a bag containing a cell phone and cash that was left momentarily unattended on the stage of the club. #07446
Grand Theft. 600 block North Robertson Boulevard at 12:30 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone and a wallet from victim’s bag while on the dance floor. #07501
Other Burglary. 7800 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 3:45 and 4:15 a.m. A man smashed the front glass door to gain entry and removed an empty cash register. Loss $750
Vehicle Burglary. 1100 block North Kings Road between 10 p.m. and midnight. An unknown suspect smashed the rear driver’s side door and removed property from the center console. #07468
