west hollywood crosswalk, santa monica boulevardTwo cars collided yesterday on La Brea Avenue at Fountain, with one of them hitting a pedestrian crossing either La Brea or Fountain.

According to a witness on the scene, the crash happened at about 10:45 a.m. The pedestrian was taken to the hospital.

The West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station as of this morning said it is unable to reveal exactly where the pedestrian was walking, whether it was a man or a woman, what the health status of the person is, which hospital her or she was taken to or the names of anyone involved.

A Sheriff’s Station representative said it can take up to seven days to compile such a report.

The Sheriff’s Station rarely shares details about local crimes soon after they happen. Most accident reports published by WEHOville come directly from citizens on the scene, who often take photos of the incident to verify what happened.

The West Hollywood Sheriffs were on scene. I saw LAPD coming westbound on Fountain to the scene. Fire Station 8 was there with paramedics and traffic was jammed. I don’t know what happened as it had already happened by the time I got to that intersection. It was just being shut down and I was able to cut through the Ralph’s parking lot to… Read more »
