One of the hottest bars in town got a bit hotter Saturday night.
A little before 1 a.m. Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters arrived at The Abbey in response to a call about a fire that sent the popular restaurant and bar’s customers running out the Robertson Boulevard entrance.
Firefighters discovered quickly discovered the fire, which apparently involved trash in one of the rooms at the rear of the building, and quickly extinguished it.
Perhaps Mr. Cooley can have Gucci design a personal fire extinguisher that activates in his GG belt buckle much like a mace spray device so he can be hands on at all times.
Add fire to the list of things that sends people running from the Abbey.
Seriously? None of the employees thought to use a fire extinguisher?
Hmm, not good. Looks like some training is in order, and maybe a visit to Koontz around the corner to buy a few fire extinguishers.
Glad everyone was ok and for the good work of our firefighters.
