14 Thefts from Cars and One Armed Robbery in West Hollywood

There were 14 thefts from autos reported to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station from Jan. 7 through Jan. 20 along with an armed robbery on Fountain Avenue at Poinsettia Place. They are among the incidents below that are (Part I) crimes reported to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department between Jan. 7 and 20. Strong Arm Robbery. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard  at 6:48 p.m. A man removed video games and clothing and left the store without payment. When confronted by store security, the suspect punched and shoved the security guards and fled the area on foot. #00190

Grand Theft. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard  at 5:30 p.m. A man removed a cell phone from a display area and left the store without payment. #00204

Strong Arm Robbery (Suspect Arrested). 1200 block La Brea Avenue at 3:35 p.m. A man removed clothing and food and left the store without payment. When confronted by store security, the suspect resisted and ran from the area. The suspect was arrested by deputies the following day. #00202

Grand Theft. 800 block Westmount Drive between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. An unknown suspect ransacked the interior and removed two suitcases containing clothing and sunglasses from the interior of the unlocked vehicle. #00228

Vehicle Burglary. 500 block Westbourne Drive between 10:10 and  11:15 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a purse from the back seat. #00239

Vehicle Burglary. 8200 block Sunset Boulevard  between 10:25 a.m. 11:20 am. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a purse and makeup kit from the front floorboard. #00225

Vehicle Burglary. 8900 block Santa Monica Boulevard  between 9:45 a.m. and noon. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a leather bag containing a car key from the front seat. #00226

Vehicle Burglary. 8600 block Melrose Avenue between 10 and 11:10 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and pushed the rear seat down but did not take anything. #00235

Grand Theft. 8900 block Sunset Boulevard  at 9:15 p.m. A man removed clothing and lingerie and left the store without payment. #00258

Grand Theft. 600 block North Robertson Boulevard  at 12:11 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from the victim’s purse while on the dance floor. #00264

Grand Theft. 8800 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 7 p.m.  An unknown suspect removed a purse and jacket that were left temporarily unattended on a table. #00294

Residential Burglary. 8800 block Dorrington Avenue between 11:45 a.m. and 1:25 p.m. An unknown suspect used an unlocked kitchen window to gain access and removed a desktop computer and jewelry. #00253

Armed Robbery. Fountain Avenue / Poinsettia Place at 2:06 a.m. A man was walking west bound on Fountain Avenue when two men approached him from behind while armed with a handgun and ordered him to empty his pockets. The victim complied and the suspects fled the area on foot. #00263

Vehicle Burglary. 800 block Hilldale Avenue at 11:50 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a bag containing makeup from the rear floorboard. #00243

Aggravated Assault – Hands, Fist, Feet. 8800 block Santa Monica Boulevard  at 1 a.m. A man was punched several times in the face by a man during an argument inside the bar. The victim was intoxicated and refused to provide details about what happened. #00262

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested). 7800 block Santa Monica Boulevard  at 7 p.m. A women was hit on her legs by a vehicle driven by a women during a road rage dispute. The victim was not injured and the suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #00271

Vehicle Burglary. 8800 block Beverly Boulevard  at 8 p.m. A man smashed the rear driver’s side window and removed a purse from the back seat. The suspect was confronted by a witness and fled the area on foot. The purse was recovered near the crime scene. #00273

Vehicle Burglary. 900 block Orange Grove Avenue between 1:24 and  9:30 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and moved a bag from the front seat but did not take anything. Loss $435. #00277

Aggravated Assault – Knife (Suspect Arrested). 8600 block Sunset Boulevard  at 1:45 p.m. A man waved a knife at employees and threatened security guards after he was asked to leave the business. The suspect was detained by security and arrested by responding deputies. #00292

Grand Theft. 9200 block Sunset Boulevard  between 8 and 10 pm. An unknown suspect removed a bag containing property from the front seat of the unlocked vehicle. #00328

Vehicle Burglary. 1000 block Fairfax Avenue between 8:30 and 9:30 pm. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed property from underneath the back seat. #00300

Vehicle Burglary. 7200 block Santa Monica Boulevard  between 11:20 p.m. and 12:45 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed property from the back seat. #00304

Residential Burglary. 1200 block Hayworth Avenue between midnight and 2 a.m. An unknown suspect removed property from the living room and cash and jewelry from the bedroom. No sign of forced entry. #00305

Vehicle Burglary. 8900 block Santa Monica Boulevard  between 3:45 and 4:05 pm. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a purse from. the front seat. #00332

Grand Theft. 8700 block Rosewood Avenue between 8 and 11:30 p.m. An unknown suspect removed property from the center console of the unlocked vehicle. #00367

Grand Theft (Suspect Arrested). 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard  at 10:37 p.m. A man removed clothing and electronics and left the store without payment. The suspect was detained by store security and arrested by responding deputies. Loss $1,200. #00376

Residential Burglary (Attempt). 930 block Palm Avenue at 3:38 a.m. A man attempted to open a sliding balcony door but it was locked. The suspect was seen by the resident and fled the area of foot. #00359

Grand Theft. 8800 block Santa Monica Boulevard  at 2:41 p.m. A man removed an employee’s cell phone that was left unattended on the front counter of the store. #00387

Other Burglary. 8500 block Holloway Drive at 1:50 p.m. An unknown suspect cut the lock and removed a bicycle that was secured to the wall of the underground parking garage. #00386

Vehicle Burglary. 9100 block Sunset Boulevard  between 8:30 and 11 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed property from the trunk. #00400

Vehicle Burglary. 9000 block Sunset Boulevard between 9:10 and 10:50 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed property from the back seat. #00401
