Bruvion Travel, known for its management of tours by performers and bands large and small, is partnering with promoter Tom Whitman to launch ALT By Bruvion, a new company catering to the travel needs of the LGBT community.
“For 10 years, we’ve offered world class travel services to Bruvion clients quite successfully,” said co-founder Jason Couvillion. “With ALT by Bruvion, we can now offer the same great travel service but tailor it even more to our LGBT clientele. Different destinations are great for different types of people. As a gay-owned and -operated company, our experience affords our clients an insight that they won’t find at other travel companies.”
In addition to making special travel arrangements for clients, ALT (Alternative Luxury Travel) offers a membership program for $20 a year that provides access to online booking tools with discounted hotel and airline rates, special amenities, personal support, and an opportunity to create a personal profile on the ALT website. Membership also includes invitations to exclusive events and discounts on ALT group travel packages. ALT will make a donation to the Trevor Project for every booking made by new members.
Bruvion’s entertainment industry assignments have included P!nk’s Funhouse World Tour, Cher’s Living Proof Farewell Tour, Janet Jackson’s Rock Witchu Tour, Tina Turner, Shakira, Motley Crue, Velvet Revolver, and Billy Idol. It also has booked travel for commercial and television productions for numerous production houses, including Park Pictures and Pony Show Productions. Additional entertainment clients include 3Arts Entertainment, Reveille Productions, and Relativity Films. Bruvion now has an entertainment office in London to handle tour logistics while in Europe on the same time zone.
The owners of Bruvion, whose offices are at 9200 West Sunset Blvd., are Jason Couvillion, Ken Bruce and John Rukavina. Whitman produces a number of gay-oriented events including “Wonderland,” the largest annual Gay Pride event on the West Coast.
