Last week was a bit of a rough one in West Hollywood, with several robberies involving actual or threatened assaults. There were nine thefts from cars. And then there was that woman invited into a home on Alta Loma Road who walked away with an iPad, a laptop computer, clothing, $900 in cash, jewelry and headphones from her host’s residence.

June 3
Grand Theft. 8500 block West Sunset Boulevard between 5:45 p.m. and 11 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone and credit card from an office desk drawer. #03635

Grand Theft. 8600 block West Sunset Boulevard between 8:50 a.m. and 7:70 a.m. the next day. An unknown suspect removed a dress from the back seat of the unlocked vehicle. #03652
Strong Arm Robbery (Attempt). Santa Monica Boulevard / Westbourne Drive at 3:24 a.m. A man was standing on the sidewalk looking at his phone when the suspect approached him while riding a bicycle and knocked the victim’s phone from his hand. The suspect then challenged the victim to a fight. The victim was able to pick up his phone and leave the area. #03628
Vehicle Burglary. 8400 block Fountain Avenue between 10:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear windshield and removed a purse containing credit cards from the front floorboard area. #03647

Grand Theft. 7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 7:15 and 8:50 p.m. An unknown suspect cut the lock and removed a bicycle from the bike rack. #03664
Vehicle Burglary. 8300 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 7:30 and 9:15 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing a laptop computer and iPad from the front floorboard. #03663
Vehicle Burglary. 8200 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 10 and 10:40 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing sunglasses and headphones from the front floorboard. #03665

Grand Theft. 1100 block Alta Loma Rd at 5:30 p.m. A woman removed an iPad, laptop computer, clothing, $900 cash, jewelry and headphones from the victim’s residence after being invited inside by the victim. #03712
Other Burglary. 7800 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 11:45 p.m. An unknown suspect broke a front door window and unlocked the door to gain entry. The suspect removed a vehicle key and then stole a vehicle from the parking lot. #03691

Grand Theft. 600 block North San Vicente Boulevard between 12:05 and 12:20 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from the victim’s purse while standing in the park. #03736
Strong Arm Robbery (Suspects Arrested). 900 block Wetherly Drive at 2:46 a.m.. A man was sitting on a staircase near his apartment when two men approached him and demanded his property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the area on foot. The suspects were located and arrested by responding deputies and the victim’s property was recovered. #03716

Aggravated Assault – Other Weapon. 1000 block Hayworth Avenue at 10:23 a.m. A man attempted to hit two parking enforcement employees with his vehicle as they were attempting to issue him a parking ticket. #03766
Grand Theft. 8900 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 11:30 p.mAn unknown suspect removed a backpack from the bar area after it was left momentarily unattended. The backpack contained a cell phone and credit cards. #03800
Grand Theft. Santa Monica Boulevard / Palm Avenue between noon and 1:30 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a tablet computer from the victim’s bag while standing on the street. #03814
Armed Robbery. Spaulding Avenue / Lexington Avenue at 9:35 p.m. A man was walking northbound on Spaulding Avenue when a vehicle pulled to a stop near his location. Four men exited the vehicle, one of whom was holding a baseball bat, and surrounded the victim. The suspects demanded the victim’s property and he complied. The suspects returned to the vehicle and fled the area WB on Lexington Avenue. #03788
