Impulse Los Angeles is a non-profit organization that was created among friends, around the kitchen counter of José Ramos, president of Impulse Global. It was 2009, and people were still dying of AIDS. Impulse began as a personal project that quickly became a global social movement.

Impulse Group Los Angeles is the founding chapter of this international group of volunteers and friends dedicated to promoting healthier sexual lifestyles among gay men. With support from the AIDS Healthcare Foundation, it works to create campaigns, events, and online content to reach all generations of gay men who live in a modern and rapidly evolving world.

The first episode from its latest three-part web series called “GAY-ish” focuses on mental health and addiction in the LGBTQ community and stars RuPaul’s Drag Race divas Alaska and Manila Luzon. This episode explains that you don’t have to change into a preconceived idea of what a man is looking for to be considered attractive and for him to be interested in you. There will be two additional episodes after this one that will be digging into some other stigmas that are common in the gay community, stay tuned.
